Back when we were just starting our family, life felt… messy.

Rachel was serving other families as a midwife and a CrossFit coach, Joshua was managing a restaurant while occasionally pulling shifts behind the bar.

Long days, late nights, and the kind of stress that makes you run on fumes.

Then came the health flags.

Our firstborn was struggling with digestion and questionable diapers (we’ll spare you the details), and Joshua wasn’t doing much better (clarification: no he wasn't in diapers, yet).

Joshua's doctor put him on a "Mediterranean" diet, stacked on supplements, and told him to “stick with it.”

But it wasn’t working.

He was still hungry all the time, his energy was crashing, and nothing felt like it was actually fixing the root problem.

That’s when we started asking: what if the answers weren’t in another new diet trend, but in the wisdom people lived by for centuries?

So we gave the “ancestral way” a shot. We leaned into the carnivore diet for a week…

But here’s the problem: the strict carnivore diet wasn’t sustainable.

We love our pastries, we love our family meals, and honestly, we didn’t want to live that rigid (plus, life with kids doesn’t leave room for “perfect protocols”).

And that’s when it hit us.

Rachel started experimenting with beef liver - the ultimate ancestral "superfood".

Instead of frying it up (hello, metallic taste), she cooked it into a pâté, froze it into small portions, and slipped it into everyday meals.

Suddenly, the nutrients we needed were there. The liver taste? Gone.

It worked for us.

And it worked for our friends we shared it with. The ones who wanted the benefits of liver without the gag factor.

They didn’t have the time (or desire) to prep it either. And the idea of swallowing handfuls of “horse pill” capsules wasn’t exactly exciting.

So we knew we weren’t alone.

That’s why we started Homage. To make beef liver easy, approachable, and family-friendly.

Enter Hidden Liver.

The pre-seasoned beef liver supplement, based off that special pâté, you can add right into your cooking.

Just enough seasoning to cover the flavor, without taking over your meal. You can then continue to flavor your meal to your liking.

We call it honoring forgotten wisdom, adapted for modern life.

And now that we've got this business up and running, you can also enjoy the benefits of Hidden Liver!
